Enrique Nelson
Enrique B. Nelson, a native of Fargo, North Dakota started his career in 2005 as a Landman working title in the courthouses in Sheridan and Buffalo, Wyoming during the coalbed methane boom in the Powder River Basin. Shortly after Enrique took an in-house Landman job with Marathon Oil Corporation and moved into the historic Cody, WY office handling various land matters in Wyoming and the Western United States.
In 2010 Enrique joined Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in Denver working the DJ Basin. During his time with Anadarko, Enrique served as the Land Manager of Western US Exploration where he built multiple exploration acreage positions in various states across the west. Enrique then became the Wattenberg Land Manager, managing a team of 75 and executing on a 14 rig program in the Wattenberg field of Colorado. In 2016, Enrique was named Director of Rockies Land for Anadarko and managed over 7MM acres of land and over 1.5MM acres of surface.
In 2018, Enrique started Valeen Energy LLC a family run office focused on royalty and lease acquisitions in the Rocky Mountain region.
Enrique and his wife Keely have four children and have called Colorado home since 2010.
Brent Rauscher
Brent Rauscher is a 20+ year industry veteran and holds a Petroleum Engineering Degree from Montana Tech. Mr. Rauscher started his career in 1997 with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in Liberal, Kansas as a production and completions engineer and later moved to Houston in a variety of reservoir engineering roles working oil, gas and waterflood properties in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Following Houston Mr. Rauscher moved into the international portfolio where he worked in Algeria as a subsurface engineer with responsibilities ranging from reservoir to production to completions before working as an offshore exploration engineer in the Deepwater GOM, Africa and Brazil.
Mr. Rauscher later transitioned into various Rockies management roles within Anadarko leading multidisciplinary technical teams as well as multiple drilling and exploration programs in the Greater Green River, Powder River and DJ Basins. He has extensive technical and leadership experience in a variety of areas throughout the industry.
Mr. Rauscher joined Valeen Energy in 2019 as Vice President of Engineering.
Jerome Nelson
Jerome joined Valeen in 2018 and handles all regulatory and land matters.
Jerome and his wife Anna have two children and have called Colorado home since 2016.
